How It All Began

Made with Love and the Caribbean Sun

As a young girl Barbara, learned to bake delicious local treats from her mother Helen. Helen taught her the family recipes that were handed down to her by her mother Catherine from the island of Tortola, BVI. From generation to generation, the family recipe has gotten better and better.

These  delightfully, tasty, mouth-watering treats have been consumed by many in St. John and St. Thomas.  At church functions or work parties, people would always ask Barbara to bring some of her tarts. Hence the creation of Barbara's Tarts and Sweets in 2005. 

Barbara is taking her treats global! This means that anyone anywhere can now have the opportunity to enjoy her family's unique taste of  Virgin Island Culture.
